Games U Play - Topher Kavook

Topher Kavook grew up in Portland, ME playing guitar in jazz clubs and learning music with artists from a variety of genres; alternative rock, R&B, and funk music. This upbringing helped him to create a  new sound for himself that incorporates many genres as well. Having played gigs around the music scene of Portland since he was 12, Topher has become used to playing live even with little music released. Kavook was inspired to become an artist when he watched John Mayer play electric guitar on YouTube at age 12. Since then he has never looked back and wants to emulate the same success Mayer has had as well as his inspirations, including Frank Ocean, Travis Scott, and A$AP Rocky . He often writes lyrics with strong visual imagery, often about how money, power, drugs, and relationships with women. 

With his most recent release titled, “Games U Play”, Topher has teamed up with multiple creatives. Utilizing Finland producer COU EX, Kavook also had rising artist Lil Uber feature on this track as well. Breaking into his past love life, he wants to connect with fans who may be going through similar situations. Looking to pass the message along about staying out of toxic relationships, Topher Kavook wants his music to do more for his listeners than just be a playlist add.
